Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Café attendant is to manage the food and beverage service to residents and guests. The role will require the use of both coffee machines and food reheating equipment. Cash handling and reconciliation will be required for this role. Staff will be required to prepare foods for display during their shift to ensure that all display counters are ready for the daily serve to guests.
Permanent Part time opportunity from Monday - Friday 5 hours per day from 09:30 am to 14:30pm.
DUTIES
- Making drinks which includes but not limited to barista style coffees, smoothies and milkshakes
- Having all cakes and pastries displayed with signage displayed
- Meeting and greeting customers in the cafe
- Water jugs are filled ready for guests
- Taking orders
- Preparing and reheating food when ordered
- Managing food presentation on plates to guests
- Table service of drinks and meals to the guests
- Ensuring that all crockery and cutlery is cleaned and polished in readiness for service
- Salt and Pepper shakers are filled and all sugar bowls on tables have sugar
- Use of a till - Cash handling and reconciliation daily
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area including tables, floors and all workspaces
- Cleaning and maintaining the coffee machine during and after you shift
- Informing the Village Manager of items to be ordered to ensure that all stock is on hand
- Cleaning all areas at the end of the shift
- Replenishing stock in readiness for the next shift
- Completion of fridge and freezer documents to ensure safe food practices
- Labelling of foods stored in fridges and freezers
