JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an energetic Café Supervisor to join our village catering team. Ideally you will have experience in café operations, customer service, food control plans and ideally have a Barista qualification.
You will be responsible for the daily operation of the on-site café: provide quality food and drinks and be part of a team providing exciting events for our residents.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract starting late October (Tues-Sat, 7:30 am-4 pm) to cover maternity leave at Summerset Manukau.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated high level of self-motivation and initiative to set and achieve goals
- Ability to demonstrate experience at food preparation and hygiene standards
- Experience in operating a café is desirable (but not essential)
- Barista Qualification
- Current Food Handlers certificate
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel/Microsoft Office)
- Understanding food safety and have a high level of personal hygiene
- Understanding of Te Reo and/or of Maori descent an advantage
