Description:
Kennedys, a growing global law firm, is seeking a Calendar Clerk to join its Chicago Office.
The annualized salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000; however, actual salary is contingent upon level of experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- 2+ years of experience as a docketing specialist, preferably in a litigation-focused law firm
- Proficiency in docketing software (e.g., BEC/CoreRelate, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with e-filing platforms and procedures is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and accurately input case deadlines into the firm’s docketing system
- Monitor and maintain litigation calendars
- Provide attorneys and staff with reminders and updates on upcoming deadlines and events
- Stay current on federal, state, and local court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
- Generate reports and calendars for attorneys and legal teams as requested
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to address docketing-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Assist with special projects and administrative tasks related to docketing and calendaring
