POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering department are seeking to hire a Maintenance Calibration Engineer in their team. The job role is based on providing technical support to the site and is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative equipment and systems. This role will primarily focus on regular calibration scheduling and execution. This role may carry out first line investigation and repair in the event of equipment/services failure related to plant utilities, production areas and office/support areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in mechanical, electrical or automation. Restricted electrical license is helpful.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • At least 5 years working experience in pharmaceutical, hospital or food processing industry as calibration engineer.
  • Proven record of ability to work as a team member.
  • Experience in multitasking, prioritizing and showing initiative to complete tasks according to company goals.
  • A track record showing good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure management of calibration activities onsite, which will include planning, scheduling and performing calibration activities as per CMMS.
  • Routine plant and environmental monitoring will also be the responsibility of the maintenance engineer.
  • Respond to alarms from Building Management System (BMS) and equipment breakdowns calls.
  • Responsible to perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment and utilities that will include mechanical, electrical or automation related works.
  • Maintenance engineer will assist in managing calibration service providers / contractors.
  • Co-ordinate maintenance access to production and lab equipment with collaborators.
  • Carry out equipment reliability studies using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data.
  • Participate in Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) exercises.
  • Carry out engineering technical investigations.
  • Perform investigations as per directive from Supervisor/Manager
  • Complete QA deviation investigations as the need arises!
  • Perform investigation on electrical systems and resolve issues as licensed.
  • Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
