Description:

SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will report to a Site Manager/Calibration Engineer and will be responsible for performing routine calibrations on manufacturing equipment, repair & troubleshoot on all process control systems and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, warehouse and analytical labs on one of our client Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities in the greater Dublin area. This role would suit someone who has the ability to work with a team but is also a self-starter. You will need to have an excellent understanding and experience in the calibration of temperature, pressure, weight, RH & Flow measurement equipment.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Instrumentation Apprenticeship or B.Sc. Degree in instrument / electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of combined education, training, and experience in calibration, instrumentation, measurement and control preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Proven fault finding/trouble shooting skills
  • Knowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated facility.
  • Experience executing and documenting Calibration certificates
  • Ability to interpret loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID’s, I/O wiring and panel drawings
  • Computer literate - minimum 3 years’ experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations for process, utility and analytical lab equipment and systems related to instruments and control systems with calibration team structure as generated via an CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot and repair site instrumentation and control and monitoring system issues
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures
  • Ensure that instrumentation and calibration documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures
  • Execution of work according to plan and schedule ensuring coordination of work with maintenance and operations staff to minimize impact to production activities
  • Recommend and implement improvement ideas to enhance the instrumentation and metrology functions and other business processes.
