As a Calibration Technician at our biopharmaceutical startup site, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our critical instrumentation systems. Your primary responsibilities will involve calibration activities, maintenance planning, troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and utilizing the CMMS for efficient maintenance management within a dynamic startup environment.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience in instrumentation or calibration preferred.
  • Preferably have some experience in CMMS. SAP, Pro-Cal, or similar system
  • Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent Communication skills needed as will be client facing.
  • Must show strong commitment to safety and safety standards in highly regulated industry.
  • Own transport essential.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or Trade qualified in Instrumentation, Calibration Mechanical or Electrical

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve instrumentation-related issues promptly to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain meticulous calibration records and documentation in compliance with GMP and FDA standards.
  • Review and approve third party calibration certification and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules tailored to the unique requirements of biopharmaceutical production.
  • Leverage predictive maintenance strategies to anticipate equipment failures and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Utilize the CMMS platform to schedule, track, and document maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Staying up to date with Safety procedures and paying close attention to safety standards on the site is an essential part of the role.
  • On call rotation will be required as part of this.
