KSMCo Gold Inc.’s (KSMCo) Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell (KSM) Property involves the development of major gold-copper deposits located in northwest British Columbia (BC) off Highway 37, approximately 65 km by air north-northwest of the ice-free Port of Stewart, BC. The Property is situated within the coastal mountains of BC, approximately 30 km topographically up-gradient of the Alaska-BC border.
This position provides project technical and administrative support in a team environment. Working closely with a manager or team, perform all project administrative responsibilities as assigned.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5-7 years related experience preferably on a fly-in fly-out mining, oil and gas construction project.
  • Expert level camp, travel & flight forecasting capability.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the full suite of MS Office applications with a need for proficiency in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, formulas, v-look ups).
  • Must have strong level of experience with camp, travel & flight software programs.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • In-depth analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data.
  • Possess expert level written and verbal communications skills.
  • Possess expert level organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.
  • Possess a creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent time management, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that corporate safety, environmental, and business goals are met or exceeded.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in the preparation of annual budgets with input and assistance from the Project Controls Department.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the project Change Management processes.
  • Monitor and report on identified or previously unidentified operational risks.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager to coordinate any work inputs from the Site Services, to include maintenance of all facilities.
  • Participate in daily meetings with KSM Senior Staff to discuss delegation of site tasks to ensure required work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in camp load forecasting for all facilities. Track and update scheduled workforce plans and adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Identify contractor and vendor performance issues and works with the Facilities Manager, Site Services Manager and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and maintain scheduling for both KSM Staff and Site Services departments.
  • Oversee the maintenance and tracking of site Waste Management and Site Services Property Maintenance Log.
  • Oversee and manage tracking of all on-site and off-site light vehicle fleets and heavy-duty equipment to include Journey Management Plan Procedures, In-reach and Radio tracking.
  • Report and oversee the cleaning of accommodation units as per cleaning schedule. Ensure all food items are properly stored, served, and discarded as per HACCP and Food Safe Standards.
  • Compile daily/weekly reporting to include customer/client name, camp location, dietary restrictions, reservation audits and forecasting.
  • Arrange and coordinate camp, ground travel requests and bookings for all staff, craft and visitors on the project.
  • Contact and provide new contractors and visitors to the project with site information, lodging, travel details and confirmations.
  • Cancel or reschedule any camp and travel accommodations due to changes in an employee’s status.
  • Monitor and coordinate camp room availability and ensure alternative camp/lodging arrangements are made if vacancies are limited.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all invoices against commercial hotel lodging.
  • Coordinate travel to/from site bookings with outside vendors shuttle department.
  • Ensure any travel itinerary changes are communicated with the applicable contractor.
