JOB TITLE: Camp Director
DEPARTMENT: Community Services
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: Several
JOB STATUS & DURATION: Part time
HOURS OF WORK: 24 hours a week prior to camp season from May to June, 40 hours a week for July and August / flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required

HOURLY RATE: $23.90 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, supervise, coach and evaluate staff
- Assist with promotion of camps
- Develop, deliver, evaluate and document staff training and meetings
- Assist Camp Specialists in the continuing development of their skills and act as a resource
- Plan and organize high quality safe and stimulating camps for all levels of participants
- Facilitate daily attendance reporting including follow up telephone calls in the event of absent camper
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (i.e. staff and camp schedules, reports and incident/accident reports)
- Keep current with industry trends and new class formats
- Administer medications according to policy
- Handle program feedback in a professional manner by providing exceptional customer service
- Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
- Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
- Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
- Travel between work sites during shift
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
- Attend meetings/training as required
- Performs other duties as assigne
