THE CAMP

Founded in 1947 Kandalore offers a traditional camp experience for children 6 – 16. Originally operating as a boy’s camp, Kandalore became co-educational in 1992. The camp prides itself on its warm and supportive community where children are made to feel included in the camp culture. The supportive nature of the camp allows for the campers to try new activities and develop new skills with the help of caring staff members.

Job Outline
Camp Kandalore is looking for a positive and enthusiastic RN or RPN to fill the role of Nurse on our Healthcare Team.
The successful applicant will provide friendly, patient focused health care and be responsible, well-organized, team oriented and able to cope with a busy clinic atmosphere.
Our nursing staff look after all the various health needs of our campers and staff. Duties include tending to injuries, running daily clinics, administering medication, and educating campers and staff on their physical and mental health and wellness.
This position includes a competitive salary, room and board, clinical experience, and a fantastic summer at camp. A physician will be on-site for the duration of the summer contract.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Qualification
• Experience working with children and youth, preferably in a camp setting
• CPR-C and standard first aid. Other qualifications (swim, AED, etc.) an asset
• Experience working in a team
• Hardworking, adaptable and enthusiastic
