Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and mentor direct reports.
  • Communicate grade reporting timelines and ensure that instructors submit grades on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all aspects of program delivery and ensure education is delivered within the guidelines of the Quality Assurance Framework.
  • Coordinate with Academic Services, to support the success of Program Coordinators and Instructors involved curriculum development projects.
  • Ensure that the educational, physical, social, and special needs of students.
  • Ensure that programs follow the established sequence of courses and exam timetables and that students graduate and complete diploma and certification exams to meet corporate graduate and placement standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance surveys and spot check classroom satisfaction.
  • Authorize student terminations and dismissals as per policies and procedures.
  • Manage instructor scheduling and professional development.
  • Review Quality Assurance Surveys and initiate corrective or improvement actions.
  • Plan and facilitate the on-boarding activities of new instructors.
  • Ensure positive working relationship and regular reporting to international student education partner.
  • Work with the Employment Specialists and management to develop employer contacts that facilitate internship placements and ensure job placement of graduates.
  • Recommend and implement systems, policies, and procedures that promote operational efficiency.
  • Lead and facilitate new student orientation events and activities.
  • Ensure that capital budget is effectively spent to refresh classroom equipment and ensure an effective educational environment is maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned, and which are in the best interests of the College.
