About you and this Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Reliability Engineer in Schkopau, Germany. As Reliability Engineer you will facilitate development of the business/facility maintenance strategy, and solves reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and tools to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy. You will focus on those opportunities that over a long-term period or historically have impacted the plant’s measured asset capability and the opportunities identified as “high-risk” in risk assessments, reliability models, and other evaluations. Your role requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques and methodology within the analytical technology discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and update the Facility Reliability Strategy.
  • Achieves plant PSR targets.
  • Creates and update Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of individual aspects of the PPM program by showing quantitatively the impact of failures and PPM.
  • Facilitates and/or contributes greatly to driving proactive PPM Optimization activities to support overall productivity improvements.
  • Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year.
  • Develops and maintains a model that identifies the unit operations, equipment, process, etc. that identifies the value of opportunities for improvement, as requested.
  • Uses reliability engineering principles and tools to increase AC and AMR.
  • Participates in plant health study and efforts to implement corrective action to maintain or improve plant health.
  • Performs Root Cause Investigations for unplanned events to prevent recurrence.
  • Provides front end loading support for plant Turnarounds.
  • Facilitates the Reliability Team and implement of the HRO principles within the unit, building strong partnerships and coaching/teaching as needed.
  • Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.
  • Assists maintenance representatives and project teams to design reliability, availability, and maintainability into new plants and equipment systems using GPM work process discipline.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Your outstanding technical expertise makes you a competent contact person for your engineering colleagues, for the plant personnel in the company and for external service providers
  • Your clear and binding communication ensures that you are understood, that your instructions are followed and that no safety-related problems arise
  • You have knowledge of the Global Maintenance Workprocess
  • In addition to excellent German skills, you also have very good English skills
  • You are a team player who thinks and works proactively, results-oriented and independently
  • Very good computer skills (Microsoft Office) round off your profile
  • You are flexible and willing to take business trips
