This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team, is in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers. Our government customers rely on us to help ensure the technical integrity of Apple platform, solutions and apps developed specifically for our products. The Government Industry Development Executive will be the domain expert and provide guidance and advice to field sales and marketing teams on opportunities related to Government in Canada with a specific focus on Federal and Provincial Governments. Working with a cross-functional team, the successful candidate will formulate strategies, structure partnerships and drive strategic initiatives to grow Apple’s Government business in Canada. You will help solve business problems to ensure success for both Apple and our customers, and will guide, support and inspire customers with new and innovative ways the Apple platform can enable government employees to improve the delivery of government services. In addition, you will support government and institutional engagement in Ottawa and other key provinces. This role will take the lead on developing an industry point-of-view to amplify Apple values to grow market share of the Apple ecosystem.

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will: - Build a deep understanding of our customers, partners and team relationships, and align them to our customers’ vision, challenges and opportunities. - Be a trusted advisor on Apple use case solutions ecosystem, business transformation and Apple platform adoption. - Focus on building the industry strategy with innovative solutions that drive results for customers and Apple. - Deeply understand the Government space, help customers focus on the employee and customer experience, and improve customer readiness for our platform and transformation. - Build new vertical standard methodologies and share them across Worldwide Enterprise. - Work collaboratively across Apple with teams including Major Accounts, Carrier, Channel and other strategic solution partners to change the way people work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of related experience.
  • In-depth understanding of government information technology landscape, corresponding policy environment, and its impact on Apple.
  • Significant background advising on Government business transformation solutions for large businesses and/or experience in a consultative Government role.
  • Deep understanding of the Government segment including go-to-market strategy, customer profiles, ecosystem partners, market trends and challenges, key use cases, associated solutions, and competitive landscape.
  • IT knowledge in the areas of government messaging, collaboration, Wi-Fi, client management solutions, and government security technologies for iOS, macOS, and other platforms.
  • Bachelorʼs degree or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Apple’s App development tools and the advantages they bring to large organizations demonstrating mobility for business transformation.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement with the curiosity to uncover gaps, resilience to manage ambiguity, and drive to optimize processes and create solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate organizational structures, and manage complex relationships.
  • Cross-functional expertise and experience with field sales, channel sales, field engineering, marketing, and enablement teams.
  • Bilingual (French) is a plus.
