JOB SUMMARY
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer? Join our team as a Cancer Support Worker at Yeovil District Hospital, where you’ll provide essential guidance and compassionate support to cancer patients and their families.
Ideally, we would welcome applications from individuals who have previous experience with coaching patients or healthcare backgrounds but know the right person for the best team fit is equally as important.

Responsibilities:
As a Cancer Support Worker, you will be a key point of contact for individuals navigating the complexities of cancer care. You’ll provide vital information, complete Holistic Needs Assessments, and support patients in creating personalised care plans. Through effective communication, you will help individuals understand their treatment options, access resources, and connect with a range of health and social care services. This role also involves organising patient education sessions and supporting health and wellbeing events to empower patients and promote self-management.
