As a Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating real estate investment opportunities across the country. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Investment Screening & Underwriting – Analyze and underwrite potential acquisitions and development opportunities, assessing financial feasibility, market positioning, and risk adjusted returns.
Due Diligence & Market Research – Conduct in-depth market research, financial modeling, and risk analysis to support investment decision-making. Oversee due diligence processes to ensure comprehensive deal evaluation.
Development Support – Assist the Investment and Development team in active development projects by analyzing project plans, financial structures, and potential financing opportunities.
Strategic Advisory – Provide insights and recommendation to senior management to support investment theses and development strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, mathematics or similar relevant fields
- 2+ years of real estate investments/ development/ asset management experience
- MBA, CFA, an asset, but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
- A good understanding of real estate fundamentals (office, residential, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate)
- Proven analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail are critical
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (in particular Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and proficient with Argus Enterprise software
- Ability and desire to work in a growing midsized entrepreneurial environment.
- Presentation skills with experience presenting to executive leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with acquisition, disposition and development underwriting and due diligence for commercial and residential properties
- Prepare financial models and scenario analysis in both Argus and Excel to project cash flows, investment returns, and the viability of acquisitions, development and re-development projects
- Assist in the development and management of financial models for investment management, performance tracking, scenario analysis and financing
- Building and verifying waterfalls to determine the timing and amount of profit distribution available to partners
- Participate in the research, analysis and execution of strategic initiatives
- Assist and prepare packages for Canderel’s Investment Committee and potential partners
- Prepare financing packages for lenders
- Review, summarize and incorporate third party analysis (i.e. engineering, cost consultants, geotechnical reports etc.)
- Perform in‐depth industry, market and competitor research to support the investment review process
- Prepare comprehensive underwriting packages
- Develop strong business relationships with peers in the industry
- Support development of asset-specific and portfolio strategic plans, buy/ recommendations and reports
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, prepare regular updates of budgets, cashflow and proforma to meet business and reporting requirements
- Update Argus and Excel models on a regular basis as part of the ownership reporting
- Ad‐hoc reporting as required
