Description:

PROCESSING MANAGER

Organize and oversee the Production operations to ensure that all processing duties are performed accurately, compliantly, and efficiently. This position will also oversee all department hiring, terminations, and employee relations with the assistance of the Director of Operations.

  • Day to day production operations within the Processing department
  • Forecasting and Creating Production calendars (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly)
  • Creating employee schedule, Able to forecast staffing needs based on future harvests and bucketing days.
  • Management of time, attendance, and scheduling.
  • Approving PTO
  • Tracking productivity and staff GPH.
  • Oversight and tracking of all department Compliance, payroll, and operational software and tracking, and Wholesae management/logistics (Inventory Management, Auditing, Metrc Auditing, SharePoint/ In-House Inventory Software Management)
  • Complete / Review all logs, harvest tracking, batch tracking and data.
  • Communicate with other Department Heads and delegate extra / needed labor
  • In charge of submitting product samples for Potency and Full panel tests to Lab.
  • METRC compliance within the department, creating Harvest batch ID’s, packages, manifests, receiving and verifying, and maintaining a clean database by adjusting and finishing batches and packages accordingly.
  • (Also responsible for any changes that may affect the Processing department and need to be implemented into SOP.)
  • Able to maintain 1-2 Dry rooms with product at proper environmental status and adjust to achieve proper dryness prior to next harvest.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting entire dry room including fans, filters, etc…
  • Supplies management and ordering.
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Employee relations and Performance appraisals
  • Overseeing and assisting with employee training.
  • Responsible for oversight of product from harvest through final packaging and transfer while ensuring product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old and hold valid up-to-date MED Badge
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Basic math skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and dry room equipment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and basic computer skills
  • 1-3 years of Management experience/ 3-5 years preferred

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Exceptional intrapersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout an 8 or 10-hour day
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to visually identify product health issues, safety hazards and signage
  • Ability to use a ladder up to 12 feet high
  • Ability to work in the following conditions:
  • Exposure to pollen, allergens, and non-carcinogenic pesticides, dust, odors, extreme heat, artificial light, sun exposure, vibrations and water
