MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in communications, organizational development, education, public administration, international relations, or in a discipline relevant to the mandate of the Organization.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in training and facilitation, organizational development or project management
  • Working knowledge (level C) of English; limited knowledge (level B) of one of the other FAO languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian) is an asset.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Work experience in more than one location or area of work
  • Extent and relevance of experience in tools for e-learning, knowledge management and/or data analysis

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will act as a focal point for capacity development in the PSR Division, to ensure there is a coherent corporate strategic approach to engage all resource partners across the organization, and as a ReMap Action Plan expert who will give the needed support to any eventual further future HQ and Regional Offices’ requests on the project, and in particular will:

  • Develop along with the Capacity Development Team strategies and activities on RM, which include the conceptualization, implementation, and delivery of trainings around the FAO strategic objectives, (i. e. PPAs and 4 Betters), in response to the demand from Decentralized Offices (DOs), Headquarters and more specific Ad Hoc trainings.
  • Develop training session main concepts and ideas, coordinating this activity along with PPA Leaders, Lead Technical Officers (LTOs) and DOs, ensuring the seamless delivery of well-built and focused sessions.
  • Manage the organization, coordination, and delivery of online, hybrid and/or face-to-face coaching sessions; and any other sessions at HQ level/DOs, targeting FAO Representatives, RM-related staff based at DOs.
  • Have regular consultations with the DOs Officers to collect information on their development of learning roadmaps, aiming at elaborating strategic training plans which can fulfil the main goals of the Regions.
  • Liaise regularly with OER, PSU and OCC to continuously sharing key information on Capacity Development activities. Liaise with the CSH Unit, which is in charge of training and development, coordinating specifically on RM related sessions.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Team Leader, Programme Officer and PSR Management.
  • Formulate and implement capacity trainings, starting from the conceptualization phase to the delivery of virtual trainings under the refreshed RM business model in line with the New Strategic Framework of FAO 2021-2025. This will include consulting DOs on specific training ideas; drafting training flows and supporting the preparation of various types of learning material; coordinating the entire production of E-learnings; facilitating trainings; preparing articles and stories for the RM webpages HQ and regional, as well as follow up sessions.
  • Organize face-to-face, and other specific coaching sessions at Decentralized Offices targeting FAO Representatives, RM-related staff based at DOs
  • Prepare strategic training plans for the regions with support to the establishment of regional and sub-regional RM strategies and CPFs. This includes having regular consultations with all Decentralized Offices on the development of learning roadmaps, their implementation and regular review.
  • Support to the implementation of the new RM strategy in in the realization of an in-reach and outreach advisory plans to boost the implementation and delivery of corporate results, through the active role of FAO RM officers, FLOs, FAORs and AFAORs, and Heads of Liaison Offices, as well as LTOs both at HQ and particularly at the country level
  • Liaise regularly with OER, PSU, PST, CSH and OCC to share, report and exchange on Capacity Development activities
  • Manage PSR intranet page for Resource Mobilization. This includes preparation of RM highlights for the RM support hub; signed framework agreements and templates; coordination with PSR colleagues for updating the FCOs lists, as well as PSR calendars; creation of ad hoc sections and sub-sections, which require weekly maintenance (e.g. country fact sheets); creation of articles for internal visibility purposes on the Leading in Resource Mobilization Global Executive Series;
  • As Unit Coordinator, liaise with the CSH specific units in charge of training and development specifically for RM related trainings.
  • Assist in the management of the integrated internal information and knowledge management system for PSR in close coordination with Digital FAO and Agro-Informatics Division (CSI);
  • Support in elaborating presentations and templates related to outreach and RM;
