Description:
This is a key role to support greater control, review, challenge and performance across the Capital Programme. It is a great opportunity to make a difference through continuous improvement and regular contact with some of our most senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A CAPITAL INVESTMENT: FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE MANAGER
- You will be responsible for the management of our Capital Programme Financial reporting, review and challenge.
- This role is fundamental in the enhancement of our Financial reporting processes to help set us up for success; including the implementation of our Programme Sponsorship model
- Develop and enhance the Performance controls and associated reporting to support proactive management of the programme; including but not limited to, forecasting accuracy and “living within our means”.
- Developing relationships with other teams across the Organisation. With a real focus on cross learning, collaboration and challenging the teams through continuous improvement to improve performance.
- Support the Business with the reporting and outcome of commercial settlements and interpretation to senior management.
- The Financial Performance Manager will be responsible for providing business performance against budget and prior periods by identifying insights across financial and customer trends.
Base Location – Clear Water Court Reading Hybrid
Working Pattern – 36 hours
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE
- Strong leadership skills as you will be required to engage with colleagues at all levels throughout the business on a wide range of topics.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
- Experience of working in a utilities/water organisation is desirable but not essential.
