About the Role:
AGL Macquarie is seeking a dedicated Capital Planning Specialist / Engineer to provide governance over our Capital Budget Planning process. This 12-month, fixed term contract is crucial for the development and optimisation of 5-year and Whole of Life capital plans, ensuring our projects are well-planned, executed, and aligned with strategic goals. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, including Engineering, Maintenance, Major Outages, Corporate teams, Finance, and external partners, to ensure the success of our capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Systems, policies, and standards.
  • Process safety principles during investment planning to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Prepare future capital budgets and coordinate the development of 5-year and Whole of Life Capital Budget plans.
  • Manage project close-out/handover activities, ensuring effective Management of Change.
  • Oversee project controls, data collection, and reporting to track progress and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering discipline or trade qualification with relevant industry experience OR industry experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale industrial asset management or investment selection processes.
  • Prior experience using capital planning software applications or similar tools is ideal.
  • Excellent analytical and data management capabilities.
  • Great ability to interface effectively with various internal stakeholders.
