Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associates degree from an accredited institution required.
- Five years of supervisory experience in facilities management organization or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CAD experience
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage personnel and financial resources
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks at the same time
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Identify, investigate and evaluate all campus facilities for capital improvements, renewal, and renovation projects. Manage outside contractors and coordinate Trades. Prepare cost estimates and materials purchasing documents, and track costs. Organize and carry out on-going facilities evaluation and Capital projects. Manage conflicts and solve problems. Provide hands-on guidance to the workforce at the work sites. Meet with campus clients to determine needs and to propose and recommend solutions. (50%)
- Manage the day-to-day oversight of on-going and planned capital projects. Manage project planning, supervision, and status reporting. Schedule and assign tasks for contractors and internal personnel. Prepare cost estimates and materials purchasing documents, appropriate building permits and licenses, and track costs. Prepare reports for allocation of costs associated with all assigned work. (40%)
- Maintain computerized drawing system and update and maintain campus drawings for buildings and infrastructure. Serve as resource for construction, design and engineering team members. (10%)
