JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be a part of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Capital Risk Policy International team with responsibility for assessing the compliance of the prudential capital requirement framework as implemented by the firm across all the activities in the region.
As a Capital Risk Policy International - Associate in Risk Team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across Line of Business units, the Risk and Finance departments of the firm and you will support the Risk department on a wide range of regulatory issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- 2+ years PQE in interpreting, implementing, or enforcing prudential banking regulations (EU CRR, UK PRA Rulebook, etc.). Your relevant experience may have been gained at a bank, consulting company or prudential authorities
- Solid knowledge of the Basel framework for capital requirements and capital adequacy, including the Basel III reforms. In particular, you have developed an expertise in Credit Risk and/or Counterparty Credit Risk within the Basel framework
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to get along with a broad mix of people and personality styles. You must be able to form and maintain strong working relationships within various departments within the Bank
- Strategic thinker with good business and risk understanding, as well as having excellent analytical and drafting skills with due attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Reviews and challenges the implementation of prudential capital requirement framework related to Credit Risk and/or Counterparty Credit Risk and capital adequacy frameworks as part of our 2nd line of defense within the Risk Department.
- Produces insightful compliance assessment reports for management in EMEA and the United States
- Understands and critically evaluate potential capital impacts, operational consequences, and peer practices of various assumptions and policy choices
- Works collaboratively with Lines of Businesses, Risk Management, Finance, Controllers, and other stakeholders to perform comprehensive assessments
- Keeps up-to-date with emerging regulatory developments and supervisory expectations on capital adequacy and capital management
