Description:

Band 6 Physiotherapists are experienced clinicians - having completed core rotations as a Band 5 Physiotherapist. The post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and managing their own patient caseload within the Cardiac Rehabilitation team. They will supervise and train Band 4 and band 3 cardiac rehab technicians and students as required, and will be able to provide specialist physiotherapy advice to the rest of the MDT. The post-holder will work across Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital and within community leisure centres across North Bristol.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing and delivering a safe and comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program along with other members of the MDT. This will include specialised assessment and exercise prescription for patients with cardiac conditions and complex comorbidities. The post-holder will take a lead alongside other exercise specialists in the provision of exercise prescription and delivering the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation program in a variety of delivery models.
