Working towards accurately performing all ECGs to SCST standards on patients of all ages and in all clinicalconditions. Ensuring correct documentation and calibration of the equipment. Recognise abnormal 12 lead ECG rhythms and alert senior staff if appropriate. Application and removal of ambulatory Cardiac and BP monitoring equipment.
Preparing patients for clinic by undertaking height, weight and accurately monitoring blood pressures priorto medical assessment. Use of the departmental information systems to register and track patients, to check results andappointments. Assist with stock management, ensuring all rooms are stocked, liaising with the stock coordinator. To be fully conversant with the emergency cardiac arrest procedures
