ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra care schemes as a Care & support worker.
This permanent role is for 21.875 hours per week and involves a rota system which will involve working a combination of early (starting at 7:30 am) and late shifts (finishes at 9:30pm). You also will be working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. One of the council’s strategic objectives is to ensure we deliver excellent quality care services. To support this objective and provide assistance to individuals living within their own home environment we are seeking to appoint a compassionate, caring and reliable support worker.
Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The post is part-time and will involve a rota system. Enhancement is paid for weekend and out of hours working. This role is offered on a permanent basis. We also encourage staff to join our bank team.
Hawthorn Court provides Extra Care Housing for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK.

Safeguarding Statement: The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable groups and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of this commitment anyone working in a post with children or vulnerable groups will be expected to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with/without barred list checks.
