REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; degree in science or an engineering discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience.
  • Project Management experience in a Health care environment preferred.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

The Senior Project Manager for the CommonSpirit Care Base is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and efficient operation of the Clinical Command Center projects. This position, in coordination with project owners, leads and directs multiple moderate to large projects of high complexity and visibility. The incumbent will work autonomously and be responsible for the timeline planning, coordination, and implementation of human, technical, and financial resources necessary for high impact projects at a national level. This role oversees and manages projects from start to finish, monitoring and reporting on the progress throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent is an experienced leader, accountable for overall project implementation, and is able to effectively communicate project expectations timely to team members, internal and external clients within and across the system, including collaborators in ambulatory, acute, post-acute, and community settings. This position may be indirectly responsible to assist the System VP of Clinical Services Integration in department level communication and optimization projects, as well as leading and providing guidance/training concerning project work within the CommonSpirit Care Base. ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage multiple and highly complex clinical projects across CommonSpirit Health.
  • Responsible for completing project lifecycles and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Work closely with local and national staff to define the initiation and implementation of timelines for projects.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders including (but not limited to) Clinical team members, IT members, external vendors and leaders across the care continuum
  • Ensure consistent and timely communication to all stakeholders on clinical project status.
  • Proactively manage and resolve potential issues that would cause an impediment to the project’s progress.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be agile, prioritize and delegate to achieve desired end results for all associated stakeholders.
  • Consistently displays awareness and sensitivity to the needs of internal and/or external clients. Proactively ensures these needs are met or exceeded.
  • Enforce project management standard practices.
  • Provide process improvement subject matter expertise to project teams and leaders within CommonSpiritCare Base
  • Evaluate the performance of clinical projects against the stated timeline and financial profile.Develop and implement standard documentation, workflows and templates for communications, process changes and other business activities.
  • Analyze and identify quality and cost opportunities within the command center operations.
  • Assemble reports and lead regular meetings on project status, including progress and resource deployment.
  • Identify, monitor, track and manage risk, issues, and resource utilization.
  • Travel as required.
