ABOUT US

The Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Cities and Communities is one of the primary groups of Concordia University’s Next-Generations Cities Institute. Our group develops applications and tools that aid researchers and city stakeholders with city planning processes with the end-goal of lowering carbon emissions.

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer who is passionate about both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate is flexible, motivated, and eager to learn new technologies and skills. As a member of our small team, you will have the chance to work on various projects and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders are essential for this role.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Front-end web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Back-end web development (Python, C++, or PHP)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub)

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Data processing
  • Working with Linux servers
  • PostGresQL or similar databases
  • Code refactoring
  • Parallel computing (CPU and GPU)
  • RESTful APIs
  • Jenkins CI/CD
  • Code and Process Documentation
  • Assist researchers with code development
