Description:
Band 3 Care Support Worker in the Children’s Emergency Department
The Children’s Emergency Department at The John Radcliffe Hospital currently has vacancies for Care Support Workers.
We are a friendly team of skilled practitioners, who take pride in the quality of the care we provide in a fast-paced and demanding environment. We know the values of providing excellent care to the most vulnerable patients, at times of high stress for them and their families.
We are looking to recruit Care Support Workers who are motivated and proactive. Experience working within a health care setting or with children is essential. We can offer a supportive environment with a strong commitment to professional development and progression through the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities:
Assist qualified staff in the implementation of patient care programmes
Develop towards assisting the registered nurse in the planning of patient care
Carry out a range of patient care tasks in support of and supervised by a registered nurse
Record information detailing patient care given, under supervision of registered nurse
Monitor and maintain equipment and environment of the unit, under supervision of registered nurse
In conjunction with the registered nurse provide support to more junior colleagues
