Responsibilities:
Research in the field of biotechnology with a focus on metabolic modelling and bioprocess
engineering of microorganisms
Processing of research questions in the BOKU competence fields of biotechnology and
sustainable materials and technologies
Application and further development of synthetic biology methods at the interface of metabolic
modelling and engineering as well as bioprocess engineering
Teaching and supervision or co-supervision of final papers within the scope of legal
possibilities, teaching in the fields of microbiology, metabolic modelling and bioprocess
engineering
Transfer of knowledge and the promotion of junior researchers in line with the social
responsibility of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences
Assumption of administrative tasks within the framework of university self-administration
Acquisition and management of competitively funded national and international research
projects
Participation in cross-departmental focus areas
Publication in high-quality journals in the field of microbial biotechnology
