About the role
Your caregiving career will thrive working at The Village Palms, in Shirley, Christchurch. Your passionate experience and kindness to provide first class care for our residents will see you exceed in this role.
This position is working 18 hours per week on AM shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Hold Health and Wellbeing certificate preferred.
  • Excellent attitude and demonstrate self-motivation and proactiveness.
  • Previous experience in aged care or working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Problem solving and decisive decision-making skills.
  • Empathy and love making a difference in our residents’ lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide resident directed care and support to our residents.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered nurse as part of the Care Team.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and choice.
  • Contributes to and demonstrates knowledge and use of resident directed Care Plans.
  • Provide support for the family.
