We are currently recruiting for a Carpenter (3rd Year Apprentice to Journeyperson level) to join the Buildings team in the Lower Mainland! We’re looking for a Skilled Carpenter with experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with wood backing required
  • Experience with water control required
  • Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
  • Light equipment operating experience an asset
  • Certifications needed, CSTS & WHMIS
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing
  • Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
  • Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
  • Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Organization and site clean up as per site HSE standards
