JOB SUMMARY:
As a Carpenter, you’ll be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling custom-built structures for trade shows and events. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and other skilled tradespeople to ensure that the finished product meets the client’s vision and is completed on time and within budget.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Previous experience in carpentry, cabinet making or the building industry
Must have own tools
Must be skilled and willing to put in the effort
Excellent customer service and communication
trade qualified in carpentry
Previous exhibition installation experience is an advantage but not essential
Forklift and EWP licenses required
Responsibilities:
Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
Material Selection and preparation of layouts for assembly.
Cut materials, assemble and fixing of cut and shaped parts.
Erection of framework verifying trueness of structures.
Laying sub-flooring and floorboards verifying level.
Installation fascia panels, fitting wall cladding and door frames.
Assembly of prepared wood to form structures, cabinets, and fittings ready to install.
Repair existing fittings, cabinets, structures.
Installation of aluminium signage/cladding, Foamex signage, plastic laminates, Perspex.
