Job Summary:
US Logistics Solutions is looking for a dedicated Carrier Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with carriers to ensure the effective transportation of goods. The Carrier Sales Manager will negotiate rates, oversee contracts, and evaluate carrier performance to meet the company’s transportation needs. Responsibilities:
1. Identify and foster partnerships with carriers to fulfill transportation requirements.
2. Negotiate competitive rates and contract terms with carriers to optimize transportation solutions.
3. Collaborate closely with internal teams to streamline transportation processes.
4. Monitor and address carrier performance issues promptly to maintain service levels.
5. Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to make strategic decisions.
6. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and uphold company policies.
7. Generate reports and maintain accurate records of carrier activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Demonstrated expertise in carrier sales, logistics, or transportation management.
3. Strong negotiation skills and effective communication abilities.
4. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
5. Proficiency in utilizing transportation management software and the MS Office Suite.
6. Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to establish and sustain strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders.
8. Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed for the role.
