Job Summary:

This position may require travel up to 30% of the time. The ideal candidate has a strong background in carrier sales, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, ensuring a consistent and reliable network of transportation providers.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to maximize profitability and meet our business objectives.
- Monitor carrier performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive operational efficiencies and improve service delivery to customers.
- Identify new carrier opportunities and evaluate their capabilities to expand our carrier network.
- Stay current with industry trends and market conditions to make informed business decisions.
- Manage and maintain accurate carrier profiles, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Provide regular reports and updates on carrier performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in carrier sales or a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of transportation operations, freight management, and carrier pricing strategies.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
