Responsibilities:

This position is for an experienced commodity manager for the Connected Aviation Solution commodity team focused on the APAC region. Responsibilities will be to develop an overall strategy for the region and commodity, partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs/strategy for new bid pursuits and existing business, aligning with key suppliers, and completing contract negotiations to execute strategy and team goals. This individual will ideally sit at Collins Aerospace location in Singapore.
Travel Required: 15%
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops a strategic plan for a region, commodity, and supply base
- Collaborates with multiple business units to executes Supply Chain strategies
- Owns and responsible for relationship with multiple strategic suppliers
- Evaluates and selects supplier alignment based on price competitiveness, capability, quality, reliability (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Negotiates and executes long term agreements with supply base that aligns with commodity strategy, internal stakeholders, and customer needs
- Leads sourcing process from RFQ or quoting to contract signature
- Works with limited oversight from leadership
- Manages several projects at one time with a variety of complexity
- Clearly communicate commodity or project status to leadership and stakeholders
- Ability to identify and pursue VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Lead change management or work transfer projects for cost savings or better alignment with supply base.
- Analyzes data and information to determine cost impacts to the business
- Able and willing to coach peers as needed
- Influence and support Collins strategic initiatives and change management projects
- Flexible schedule to work with global peers
