Overview of the role:
You’ll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for monitoring the flow of packaged milk from production to shipping, operating the case filling and case stacking machinery, while adjusting line settings for product changes, removing substandard product, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm
Salary: $23.38
Full-time only: There are salary increases every 6 months up until 36 months of service.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Removing skids of Case from Trailer via Long john
  • Consistently supply the de-palletizer with garbage free cases on a shift-by-shift basis for optimal performance of asset
  • Ability to ascertain plant demands and continually be proactive in supplying dairy cases to case washers consistently
  • Identify and remove all garbage from cases as required
  • Utilizing required equipment to ensure consistent case supply to production area
  • Record any shift data required pertaining to the position
  • Troubleshoot all equipment problems pertaining to the area and provide immediate corrective action
  • Some heavy lifting required
  • Daily cleaning of case washer mezzanine and de-palletizer area (both mezzanine and floor area)
  • May be required to remove empty cases and/or cases with product returns from inbound trailers
  • Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
  • Working knowledge of chemicals
  • Must have or obtain a Forklift License
  • Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
  • A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
  • Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
  • Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
