Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Case Manager who provides intensive case management including, but not limited to, as-needed home visitation services to participants / clients. The Case Manager assesses household needs, coordinates resources based on goals, and provides advocacy, information, and referral services.
The Esperanza Center is a comprehensive resource center whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services, and the power to improve their lives. Since 1963, immigrants from all over the world have trusted the Esperanza Center to help them navigate life in a new country. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide services related to education, healthcare, immigration legal matters, family reunification, anti-trafficking, and general community support to thousands of immigrants each year. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field.
  • Two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e. Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive desired.
  • Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver’s ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.

Responsibilities:

The Services for Immigrant Victims of Crime program is designed to support immigrant crime survivors in their journey to recovery following criminal victimization.

  • Provide accompaniment, Know Your Rights, and orientation to interacting with law enforcement, and navigating the justice system.
  • Work with clients to create a safety plan.
  • Maintain casework files and input information into Service Point Database
  • Advocate for clients to receive reimbursement and compensation for injury, loss of property, and/or paying off hospital bills that result from victimization.
  • Other duties as assigned
