The Caseload Manager will be responsible for overseeing the caseload volume for the Criminal Defense department at The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC to ensure caseloads are kept at an optimal level for all attorneys. The Caseload Manager will take into account courthouse locations, attorney residence location, and the attorney’s level of skill when assigning cases. Under the supervision of the supervising attorney and chief attorney, the caseload manager will monitor a caseload limit per attorney to ensure all caseloads are balanced. Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of two years of experience with criminal defense law
• Are bilingual (English/Spanish) with written and verbal proficiency
• Case Management software experience
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Google Drive, and CLIO (Preferred)

• Compile and distribute weekly caseload summaries for each attorney in the Criminal Defense department
• Supervise the Criminal Defense attorney’s casework to keep the caseload balanced and provide solutions when caseloads start rising
• Distribute cases among attorneys based on the skill level required for specific cases, courthouse, and attorney residence
• Coordinate between attorneys, and staff, and manage the Criminal team caseload, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client information in the database
• Monitor caseloads on a real-time basis
