Description:
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR TWO PERMANENT POSITION WORKING 75 HOURS BIWEEKLY.
The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) administers workplace health and safety and workers’ compensation in the territory. WSCB’s mission is to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses in partnership with employers and workers and to support workers when injuries occur. We take care of injured workers by facilitating their stay at work, return to work and recovery.

- Completed post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as disability management, occupational therapy, kinesiology, physiotherapy, social work, etc.
- Significant experience in case management, preferably in a claims adjudication or administration environment, including leading a return to work case management team
- Significant experience developing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of return to work plans
- Experience researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying legislation and policy
- Experience using case management database software’s
- Experience working with multicultural populations and providing culturally-informed support would be an asset.
- Experience supporting clients in a therapeutic process may be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Return to Work Services, the Return to Work Case Manager, is responsible for providing quality proactive services by investigating and adjudicating initial and ongoing entitlement for compensation benefits for a high volume of claims. As well, this position works collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical practitioners, treatment providers, and others to ensure injured workers receive early and safe return to work (RTW) opportunities, healthcare assistance, and rehabilitation services while applying Workers’ Compensation Act and Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board policies.
