Description:

Job Introduction Sodexo is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker - Offender Management Unit to work at HMP YOI Bronzefield.
The role is focused on protecting the public, enhancing the safety and wellbeing of women in custody, and contributing to the security and good order of the prison. Key responsibilities include assessing individuals’ risk of reoffending and harm, as well as case managing residents to support their resettlement and rehabilitation. This involves preparing residents for release by providing motivation, assistance, and addressing resettlement needs in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies, such as the National Probation Service. The position requires operating within legislative and policy frameworks to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

SALARY UP TO £35,682.5 PER ANNUM - DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.

Base Salary - £31,953.26 per annum plus £3,729.24 London Weighting per annum.

WORKING HOURS - 37.50 HOURS (REGULAR MONDAY – FRIDAY PATTERN)

Responsibilities:

  • Completing Part 1 of the Basic Custody Screening Tool (BCST).
  • Managing a caseload of women in custody, providing regular support to achieve their sentence plan goals.
  • Conducting risk assessments (e.g., OASys, Sentence Planning, and Risk Management).
  • Collaborating with agencies to address concerns, particularly for those at risk of domestic abuse or involved in sex work.
  • Referring individuals to rehabilitation programmes and supporting processes like HDC, ROTL, and Parole.
  • Preparing reports, attending meetings, and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Maintaining accurate records on systems (NOMIS, CMS) and adhering to policies and legislation.
  • Engaging in one-to-one supervision and completing necessary training.
