Description:

We are looking for a Cash & Banking Analyst to join our Finance Team in our Support Centre in Watford! If you are passionate about helping stores manage their day-to-day banking activities, this role is perfect for you. As a Cash & Banking Analyst, you will provide invaluable support to stores in your region, offering guidance and being readily available to address their queries via calls or emails. Your role will be vital in fostering collaboration with our stores, design consultants, and internal teams across Wickes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Looking after a number of stores, being the primary contact for those stores for all banking issues and helping stores keep their P&L in order by correcting any issues the store may raise via P&L queries
  • Responsible for looking after cash books - keeping this up to date and making sure all issues are investigated and dealt with in a timely manner. This includes preparing balance sheet reconciliations for month-end including all related journal postings.
  • Completing weekly process such as Change & DF’s and assist with raising Payit payments and VAT receipts
  • Bank statement uploads as per the team team rota
  • Assisting the team with the administration and processing of Finance consumer credit loans for Kitchen & Bathroom Finance. This includes management of the loan agreements, dealing with store finance queries and liaising with finance providers.
  • Looking after store change deliveries and reconcile it back to Loomis reporting and bank statements
  • Other adhoc tasks and provide cover for other team members if needed.

What are we looking for:

  • Confident working with and understanding Bank Recs
  • Good Excel skills such as use of SUMIFS & VLOOKUPS
  • Problem solving skills
  • An understanding of debits and credits
  • Confident communicator and be comfortable to build strong relationships
  • Good attention to detail
  • Team player/happy to help attitude
