About the job
Position Overview
The Cash Logistics Supervisor ensures the efficient management of the day to day operations in the Cash Logistics Department this includes but is not limited to overseeing hourly employees, monitoring shipping, receiving, storage & processing of currency, adhering to safety & security regulations, while maximizing revenue and maintaining customer service standards. In addition, ensuring operations are profitable with margins equal to or above plan.
Responsibilities (Percent of Time)

Cash Logistics Operations (65%)

  • Oversee the daily activities of Cash Logistics Operations.
  • Manage profit and loss, budget, productivity, efficiency and labour costs
  • Lead continuous improvement with a customer focus
  • Using strategic thinking to identify & resolve issues in an efficient manner
  • Administer corrective action/discipline as required and leverage your interpersonal skills when dealing with conflict
  • Effectively resolve problems including shortages and overages with balancing situations in all areas
  • Establish and achieve KPIs and KPOs
  • Supervise the daily activities of full and part time staff.
  • Ensure receipts for all shipments and all cash logistics documents are accurate and meet time sensitive delivery deadlines
  • Ensure reporting is accurate and complete and analyze as needed, in order to maximize efficiencies in the Cash Logistics department
  • Complete monthly billing and processing stats

Customer Service (10%)

  • Responding to customer inquiries as required and assist in finding solutions that best meet all needs

Training & Development and Recruitment (10%)

  • Participate in the training and development of both new and existing employees
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels maintained while working with the HR Business Partner
  • Promote a positive work environment, with focus on employee relations and diversity

Scheduling (5%)

  • Schedule staff to cover vacations, absences, and peak service hours

Security (5%)

  • Work with regional security to develop and implement policies and procedures to control, manage and reduce losses due to non-compliance and/or theft

Health & Safety (5%)

  • Investigate any workplace accidents or injuries. Report investigation findings to appropriate internal parties and make recommendations for any corrective action
  • Work with the Occupational Health Specialist to ensure compliance and risks are managed with Brink’s Health and Safety Policies and Government Regulations
  • Promote safety awareness to the employees under his/her authority on an ongoing basis
  • Audit work areas and identify any potential hazards
  • Conduct safety orientation for all new Cash Logistics employees in area of responsibility

Qualifications

Position Qualifications

  • Previous experience with cash handling, reconciliation and managing a team
  • Ability to provide specific and creative solutions to resolve complex problems
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to motivate others
  • Thrives in a tech enabled environment and is familiar with both Word and Excel
  • Post-Secondary education is preferred
  • Has a valid Possession and Acquisitions License for both restricted and Non-Restricted, or if not is willing to obtain one with our assistance within the first 6 months of employment
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills
  • Managing unionized employees is an asset
