JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting and new opportunity has become available for Cash Up Clerk on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. Our ideal candidate will be based in our Support Centre in George. Our ideal candidate must be self-motivated, positive, and passionate about performance, a resilient individual who can think laterally and who has strong analytical abilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Computer Literacy
- Math Literacy
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience as a Cashier and Admin
- The ability to work diligently, responsibly, effectively and unsupervised
- The ability to interact smoothly with the Line-Manager and other staff in the Department
- Competency in reading, writing and understanding English
- Competency in basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- The ability to maintain an organized workflow
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative and be proactive
- Good time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A mature and professional attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in good writing
Responsibilities:
- Daily auditing of Cash Ups Masterfile Recon in order to reconcile Cash and Cards to the banking.
- Allocating discrepancies correctly with the right reason codes.
- Doing follow-ups on outstanding queries.
- Saving and filing electronically of Cash Up documentation correctly.
- Reporting discrepancies in time and accurately.
- Reaching given deadlines on time.
- Ensuring that the money is banked accordingly.
