Welcome to The Daily Café! The Daily Café is a fast casual and fun environment where everyone can enjoy a good coffee, sandwich (or salad) in our café, on the patio, or on the go. The idea to open The Daily was born out of our love for healthy and locally-sourced food and great coffee!
We set out to create a warm and inviting meeting place where guests could enjoy our freshly made breakfast and lunch, the best coffee around, and leave with a smile on their faces. Our culture is fun and welcoming. We are passionate about great food and service.

The Daily Café is looking for a friendly and inviting, Cashier/Host. The Cashier/Host will have the following responsibilities:

• Arrives on time, well-groomed and prepared to work
• Prepares and serves food and drinks to customers at the counter or table, including making soups/salads/sandwiches, pouring coffee, and serving soup
• Takes orders from Guests and processing payments via cash, credit card, gift card, or debit card
• Counts cash drawers to verify accuracy at beginning of shift and with the manager at the end of the shift.
• Supports other members of the team by performing tasks such as preparing food, stocking shelves with supplies, cleaning equipment, and preparing for peak business hours
• Maintains the cleanliness of the store by wiping down and sanitizing tables, mopping floors, and restocking items in food cases, stocking supplies in the restrooms
• Stocks shelves with food items, condiments, and paper goods, including napkins, straws, and cups
• Hands out promotional materials to new Guests who may be interested in the company’s offerings
• Delivers food and beverages to Guests cars, homes or offices, or to other locations on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries
• Any reasonable work request made by your supervisor

Cashier/Hosts must wear slip proof shoes such as “shoes for crews” or a similar slip proof brand to protect staff from possible injury, and must be able to follow all company compliance policies, safety policies, OHSA laws and regulations, plus any other general safety requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma or equivalent
