Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manager of Cashiering will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the cashiering team which processes mortgage payments, liquidations, and disbursements, manages the lockbox and payment processing providers, and oversees all servicing cash transactions. They will work with all servicing departments to establish a net-new mortgage servicer, as directed by the Vice President of Servicing Financials. This person is an industry expert who must have significant experience, knowledge, and understanding of cash processing and management as it relates to mortgage servicing. The candidate is expected to support the creation and maintenance of safe, automated, and efficient cash management processes. They will effectively manage and monitor the vendors & third parties utilized in the processes. This individual will manage the training, staffing, and performance of their operational teams. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing operational processes, leading a team of cashiering professionals, and collaborating with other departments to deliver exceptional service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience leading end-to-end cash management operations & managing multiple verticals.
  • In depth knowledge of cashiering processes, industry standards, consumer protection laws & regulations impacting cash management areas.
  • Ability to have a cross-functional impact across the servicing operation.
  • Experience in navigating high-risk examinations & issue remediation efforts.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and results-driven
  • Ability to hustle, willingness to learn, and adapt quickly to working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and call center equipment/software programs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead and motivate a growing service operation.
  • Ability to engage with managers and associates to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of high performing team.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assists with the design, build, and maintenance of the cash management ecosystem, including servicing systems, training, procedures, etc.
  • Evaluates and implements technology solutions to streamline cash processes and enhance data accuracy.
  • Leads and manages the cashiering team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Creates diverse, passionate, and engaged departments, on-site and remote.
  • Coordinates on the development of cash management operations which will include the creation and documentation of operational processes.
  • Ensures compliance with State, Federal, Regulatory, and Investor Requirements and guidelines, maintains up-to-date knowledge of internal policies and procedures, and understands how requirement changes affect the operations.
  • Manages oversight programs that monitor performance of vendors & third parties utilized in the processes.
  • Meets established standards and guidelines with regard to compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, and overall performance.
  • Manages the day-to-day performance of the cashiering team including ensuring that key performance metrics are met or exceed with budget.
  • Champions change and improvements across the cash management operation, influences future initiatives to support and achieve operational improvements.
  • Other projects and assignments as needed.
