Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Casual Estates Support Assistant to manage our Stage Door function at the main RST theatre and 39 Waterside office reception in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service to all building users and people contacting the RSC via our general enquiry phoneline.
This is an integral front facing role which can be incredibly busy during certain times of the day and then quiet at others. We are looking for someone happy to work in a fast-paced environment that required a high level of multitasking, whilst also being happy to find tasks to do during quieter times.

Some of the duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting all building users, dealing with enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Issuing security ID passes and administering the visitor management system
  • Compliance around fire safety and health and safety checks
  • Supporting the accommodation team - issuing keys, communicating with tenants, and recording and reporting maintenance issues
  • Administration tasks including stationery orders, coordinating couriers, and managing incoming and outgoing mail

The ideal person for this role will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven administration skills
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy front-facing role
  • The ability to work well under pressure and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Have good IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

This position is a permanent, casual contract covering a variety of shifts including Saturdays. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach to working, with availability to cover a range of shifts.
The RSC Stage Door is staffed 24/7 and open from 8am to 11pm. The Stage Door Keeper is present between 9am and 11pm Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays if performances are scheduled. Shift patterns are 9am to 4pm, 4pm to 11pm. Scheduled breaks will be covered by Security colleagues. Stage Door is operated by a core team of four Stage Door Keepers who are supported by casual Stage Door Keepers as required.
39 Waterside reception is open Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm. Shift patterns are 8am-1pm and 1pm-6pm.
