ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Casual Hospitality Associate to support our Concierge Services team at the McCandless location. Salary will be determined based upon experience.
Our Casual Hospitality Associates typically work 8 hours each week to cover shifts between 6AM and 6PM on weekdays, weekend, and holidays. Hours may vary by unit. Candidates with prior patient care experience are highly preferred and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate level of care to the ages of customers serviced including principles of growth and development.
  • Communicate by using active listening skills, appropriate nonverbal communication, oral and written communication.
  • Follow-up on commitments, respect the viewpoints of others, accept and support change.
  • Prioritize and expedite patients to appropriate areas for treatment.
  • Greet each patient/customer as they present, determining the reason for visit, respond to needs of patients/visitors, while presenting a positive image of the hospital. Treat all patients/visitors with care, courtesy, respect and concern.
  • Exhibit positive interpersonal skills, i.e. professionalism, integrity.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by interacting with others to achieve goals while respecting individual differences, sharing credit and accountability for outcomes. Encourage, support, and actively participate in work activities.
  • Apply technical skills and knowledge in a focused, in-depth specialty area.
  • Basic computer literacy is required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve problems through process analysis, communication and innovative thinking to obtain optimum results.
  • Assess and interpret data and information relative to the customer’s age-specific needs as related to all ages of customers that present for treatment.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
