- Variety of Mental Health In-patient clinical areas to work
Our mental health service comprises 63 beds, configured into four distinct units: a 20-bed (including 4-bed HDU & 16-bed GA) general adult acute mental health unit (Ward 3C), a 6-bed short-stay unit (MHSSU), a 15-bed older persons’ unit (Ward 3D), and a 22-bed private ward (The Northern Beaches Clinic – Ward 3B), providing a range of specialised care options for our patients.
Our mental health service operates within a trauma-informed care approach and the recovery model, providing high-quality care to patients with various mental health conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team supported by senior management and clinical roles, including Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Clinical Nurse Consultants, offering great prospects for career progression.
As a Registered Nurse:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Provided exceptional customer service and person centred and evidence-based care
- Provided supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, Graduates and Students and
- AINs/PSAs
- Effectively work within scope of practice, and demonstrated clinical competencies
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration
- Work as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, managed own worktime and personal well being
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
