Chinook School Division is seeking applications for casual Secretaries at the following locations:
Consul School - 2 positions

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
A team member responsible to the Principal for ensuring the school office functions in an efficient and effective manner. This position requires the performance of secretarial/clerical/financial tasks and related office functions to provide support for the principal, school staff and students.

Responsibilities:
Promote the vision, mission, principles and goals of the Chinook School Division
Perform receptionist duties by greeting visitors and parents, assisting with the intercom system, answering the telephone, ascertaining the nature of business, providing information or redirecting inquires as required
Perform various computer, word processing and typing responsibilities
Maintain databases such as student information
Record all staff absences and forward information to the Division Office as required
Process mail on a daily basis if required
Perform the financial functions required to maintain school financial records such as bank deposits, issue receipts, petty cash reports, and decentralized budget information if required
Duplicate, produce and process materials using appropriate equipment as directed.
Follow up on student attendance and absentees by phone; issue appropriate late slips, filing of attendance sheets complete by teachers and reports as requested by the Principal
Maintain filing systems for the school office
Provide minor first aid such as dispensing band aides to students if required
Assist in the supervision of students as requested
