Description:
Vet Nurse - Casual
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our close knit team! Our available Nursing position is 2 days per week plus 1 Saturday in five (Neg), and preferably the capacity to cover periods where the other nurses are on holidays or personal leave.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Reception duties, customer service & product advice
- Surgical patient admission & discharge
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Surgical preparation including blood collections, placing intravenous access, calculating & administering premedications
- Surgical nursing including patient & equipment preparation, anaesthesia monitoring, recovery & care of surgical instruments & equipment
- General hospital nursing
- Laboratory nursing including in-house blood & urine testing, preparation for external laboratory testing
- General cleaning and administrative duties
The ideal applicant will have:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent highly desired but not essential (Current students considered)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and within a team to support co-workers
- Excellent multitasking skills and ability to complete set tasks/duties within specified deadlines
- An interest in all aspects of Veterinary Nursing including customer service and patient care
- Flexibility
- A sense of humour!
- Experience with Cornerstone software is an advantage
