Responsibilities:
The Category Development Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of customer-focused department plans, category plans and range reviews for our Merchandising Managers and Category Managers, driving continuous improvement while providing analytical support including developing business improvement opportunities and generating proactive & actionable insights.
You will identify key strategic priorities for departments and categories in business plans, category plans and range reviews using quantitative and qualitative research; including customer behaviour, market trends, category performance, pricing, supplier dynamics.
- Drive change with cross-functional squads on strategic growth areas to land a customer first outcome
- Use analytical tools to drive insights; including category and customer segmentation, clustering, commercial investment calculations
- Consult and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders across the business to deliver desired outcomes
Demonstrate continuous improvement and evolving category development process in line with the company’s strategic objectivesCoach and develop junior members of the team
