Responsibilities:

The Category Development Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of customer-focused department plans, category plans and range reviews for our Merchandising Managers and Category Managers, driving continuous improvement while providing analytical support including developing business improvement opportunities and generating proactive & actionable insights.

You will identify key strategic priorities for departments and categories in business plans, category plans and range reviews using quantitative and qualitative research; including customer behaviour, market trends, category performance, pricing, supplier dynamics.

  • Drive change with cross-functional squads on strategic growth areas to land a customer first outcome
  • Use analytical tools to drive insights; including category and customer segmentation, clustering, commercial investment calculations
  • Consult and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders across the business to deliver desired outcomes
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and evolving category development process in line with the company’s strategic objectivesCoach and develop junior members of the team
