Job Description

The Gaming Category Lead role is responsible for gaming product performance, assessed via category and trend analysis.
This role will also be responsible for aligning new products, return to player optimisation and jackpot deployment, within the overarching strategy. You will play a key part in partnering with the Advanced Analytics team to support the creation of tools to drive data led decision making in gaming.
Additionally, the role will combine competitor and market reviews to form the basis for the introduction of new products and complete end to end analysis of these deployments. This role is critical to supporting the Head of Gaming Procurement in the creation and delivery of the Gaming Procurement strategy.

  • Subject Matter Expert to drive data led decision making and tool creation with Advanced Analytics.
  • Support and implement recommendations through Advanced Analytics projects.
  • Play a critical role in creation and implementation of Advanced Analytics gaming strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide detailed category and trend analysis on game attributes for strategic planning and partnering opportunities with suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges to enhance product performance.
  • Align new gaming features, RTP, and Jackpot settings with the overarching gaming strategy.
  • Develop robust business cases supporting recommendations for new product introductions.
  • Conduct competitor and market reviews to inform strategic decisions. This should include supplier installations across all markets and by category.
  • Support the business case creation of EGM CAPEX spend, new entitlement opportunities or critical parts procurement such as iVista hardware in conjunction with commercial finance and head of procurement.
  • Conduct PIRs on past deployments, benchmarking against capex requirements and internal hurdles.
  • Extract valuable insights to improve future deployment strategies and provide well rounded recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute and deploy products, considering optimal timing.
  • Generate timely and accurate gaming reports, analysing against key business drivers such as average bet, occupancy and stroke to enable measurement of new game success.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine Par levels of spare parts.
  • Work in collaboration with the gaming tech team to ensure adequate par levels with key gaming components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to test new games against key attributes.
  • Partner with manufacturers on the mathematics of the game to optimise player experience.
  • Support creation and implementation of overarching gaming procurement strategy enabling overarching Gaming Strategy.
  • Act as a proxy where relevant to the Head of Gaming Procurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a Category Management role or similar, (5 years).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
  • Knowledge of gaming industry regulations and market trends.Hospitality experience is desirable.
